Travelling through Portugal without a car? You can still experience the Mondego. Our Backpackers Add-on takes care of the practical bits around your self-guided kayak or SUP adventure. We'll pick you up from the train or bus station, help you get supplies, give you a place to stay and take you back to the station when you're ready to continue your journey. All you need is your backpack, a few essentials for the river and a sense of adventure.
How it works

We pick you up from the train or bus station
We collect you from your local train or bus station - anywhere within 30 minutes of Tábua. Just let us know your arrival time and we'll be there.

We take you shopping
We stop at the supermarket together so you can pick up everything you need for the expedition .

Relax and stay the night at our Quinta
You get a room with a private bathroom. The living space might be shared with other guests. Want the whole place to yourself? Let us know.

Early morning start
We'll help you get organised in the morning before you head to the river.

A night after if you need it
Want to take it easy after two days on the river? Add another night and travel onwards the following day.

We drop you back off at the station
When you're ready to leave we drive you back to your station. Trip complete.
